DR. CITY (REVISED DEVELOPMENT)
MOSUL, IRAQ
(Designed & Coordinated at Creative Design)
Project Overview:
Located in Suleymaniyah, Iraq, Dr. City has been redesigned on a smaller scale while maintaining its original urban planning concept. Following feedback from the authorities, the scope of the project was refined to focus solely on residential and commercial spaces, removing the hospital and medical offices from the program.
Key Features:
- 16 apartment buildings, each 10 stories high, with 4 units per floor
- A total of 640 modern apartment units, designed for urban living
- 208 villas, offering a mix of privacy and community engagement
- Commercial zones, providing essential services and retail options for residents
- Landscaped public spaces, integrating green areas with pedestrian-friendly walkways
Role:
I was responsible for the master plan revision, architectural design of apartments and villas, commercial area planning, and landscape design. Additionally, I supervised the Revit modeling process to ensure precise quantity takeoffs (BOQs) and visualization consistency.
Methodology & Tools:
The entire project was designed and developed in Revit, allowing for seamless coordination and data-driven design decisions. The updated concept ensures an efficient, livable, and well-balanced urban environment tailored to modern residential needs.
