IZMIR FAHRETTIN ALTAY-NARLIDERE-KAYMAKAMLIK METRO LINE PROJECT
Izmir, Turkey
(Designed & Coordinated at Prota Engineering)
Project Overview:
This extension project of İzmir's existing metro line spans 7.2 km, with 7 stations. The project stakeholders include İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi as the client, Gülermak as the contractor, and UBM as the consultant.
Role:
As the Architectural Coordinator, I managed the teams responsible for architectural and interior design of the stations. My responsibilities included ensuring seamless coordination with other disciplines such as structural, electrical, mechanical, and alignment teams.
Project Goals and Achievements:
The goal was to deliver all project designs within the designated budget and timeline to enable construction to commence. This was successfully achieved, with all required designs completed and handed over for implementation on schedule.
Methodology and Tools:
The project was developed as a BIM Level-2 initiative, with all disciplines designed and modeled in Revit. Clash detection and coordination reviews were conducted using Navisworks, ensuring that potential conflicts were identified and resolved during the design phase. This approach facilitated seamless integration of all disciplines and streamlined the preparation of construction-ready documentation.
