KINDERGARTEN
NAKHCHIVAN, NAKHCHIVAN
(Design and modeling done by me at Creative Design)
Project Overview:
The Nakhchivan Kindergarten Project is a two-story educational facility with a basement level, designed to accommodate 160 children across eight classrooms. The building is structured to provide an optimal learning environment for early childhood education, with dedicated spaces for different age groups and essential service areas.
The basement floor houses key service functions, including a cafeteria, laundry, heating system, water storage, and mechanical rooms. The first floor is designated for children aged 2-4, containing four classrooms, while the second floor is planned for children aged 4-6, also with four classrooms. Each classroom is equipped with an internal restroom and a small kitchenette for convenience and efficiency.
Role:
I was responsible for the conceptual and schematic design phases, including spatial planning, 3D modeling, and technical decision-making. Using Revit, I developed the digital model, created the concept floor plans, and conducted preliminary budget and cost analyses (BOQ and cost estimation).
Project Goals and Achievements:
Child-Centered Design: The layout prioritizes safety, accessibility, and a stimulating environment tailored to the developmental needs of young children.
Efficient Space Allocation: The division of age groups between floors ensures an appropriate learning atmosphere for each stage, with dedicated facilities to support their needs.
Integrated Service Areas: The basement floor efficiently accommodates necessary support functions without interfering with educational spaces, ensuring a seamless operation.
Self-Sufficient Classrooms: Each classroom is designed with an en-suite WC and a kitchenette to enhance convenience for both children and educators.
