ORDUBAD CITY HOSPITAL
ORDUBAD, NAKHCHIVAN
(Designed & Coordinated at Gemiqaya Holding)
Project Overview
The Ordubad City Hospital was designed to serve the healthcare needs of Ordubad, comprising two main structures: the main hospital building and a separate infectious diseases facility. The hospital includes operating rooms, maternity wards, inpatient rooms, and an emergency department, ensuring comprehensive medical care.
A key design requirement was the development of two distinct façade concepts: one with a modern aesthetic and the other incorporating traditional stone cladding with decorative moldings to reflect the local architectural character. The building features a centrally projecting mass, supported by two-story columns, with two L-shaped wings extending on either side. Service areas such as restrooms, elevators, and staircases are positioned at the junctions of these volumes, while windows at corridor ends ensure natural daylight penetration throughout the interior.
