WOODEN HOUSE

DUHOK, IRAQ

(Modelling done by me at Creative Design)

Project Overview:

The Duhok Wooden House Project was developed for a Canadian company specializing in the production and construction of wooden homes. Located on a scenic site overlooking a reservoir in Duhok, Iraq, the project involved adapting a pre-designed wooden house model for its specific terrain and optimizing its placement within the natural landscape.

The scope of work included 3D modeling, visualization, and terrain adaptation based on topographic data. A site model was generated to accurately position the house, incorporating access road planning and optimal orientation. Additionally, excavation quantity calculations were conducted to facilitate the project's implementation. During the application phase, design modifications were made, and it was ultimately decided to construct a single unit on-site.

Role:

I was responsible for the 3D modeling, visualization, and site adaptation processes. Using CAD data as a reference, I created the digital model, integrated it with the terrain, and developed approach road layouts. Additionally, I performed excavation volume calculations to support project feasibility and cost estimation.

Project Goals and Achievements:

Site Adaptation: The house design was successfully integrated with the existing topography, ensuring an optimal relationship with the landscape and reservoir view.

Efficient Planning: The placement of the structure was carefully determined to maximize scenic advantages while minimizing environmental impact.

Excavation Analysis: The project included detailed excavation volume calculations to support construction planning and cost assessment.

Visualization and Decision-Making Support: Rendered images and site simulations provided clear insights into the design, aiding stakeholders in making informed decisions.

Implementation Adjustment: During the execution phase, the project scope was revised, leading to the construction of a single unit based on updated site-specific considerations.

This project highlights a seamless integration of prefabricated wooden house design with its natural environment, demonstrating both technical and aesthetic considerations in residential site planning.
